Using the Calculator

Adjust the sliders for runtime, boiler, generator, cooling tower, and safety margin assumptions. The summary cards update immediately with estimated planning fuel, timeframe fuel, planning water, timeframe water, and tank runtime.

Calculation Notes

Boiler fuel is estimated from boiler horsepower, load, fuel heating value, and efficiency. Generator fuel is estimated from rating, load, and full-load fuel rate. Cooling tower makeup includes evaporation, blowdown, and drift.

Troubleshooting

If a result looks too high or too low, check the load percentage, available fuel, usable tank volume, safety margin, and timeframe values first. Setting a major load to zero removes that equipment from the planning total.

Reporting an Issue

Include the app name, iOS version, device model, a short description of the issue, and the input values that produced the result you want reviewed.
